2025: The Year We Started Speaking. What Awaits Us in 2026?

December always comes with a special mood. You open what seems like an ordinary textbook — but instead of reading the words, you look back at your year. At the mistaken endings, the first quiet dialogues, the funny misunderstandings, the joy of being understood at last. At those moments when something inside whispered: “Wow… I actually said that!”

For VIKOOL, 2025 was a year of growth, courage, and small victories that turned into a big picture. And today we want to share that picture — calmly, honestly, and warmly.

800+ new students

Each person came with their own story: someone wanted to pass an exam, someone wished to feel more confident at work, someone simply wanted to understand what their neighbour was saying in the elevator. We saw huge motivation — and even more bravery.

Hundreds of completed A1, A2 and B1 levels

This is where the most important things happened:

• the first phrases spoken too quietly;
• the first dialogues where words came out faster than thoughts;
• the first moments when students surprised themselves:
• “Wow… I understood the whole sentence!”

These moments are the real achievement of the year. 😄

Dozens of trial lessons and open sessions

A safe way to step into the language: no pressure, no fear of mistakes, no obligations. Teachers explained, demonstrated, joked, supported — and every time we watched how tense faces at the beginning turned into smiles by the end.

New residence permit rules

Estonia updated the requirements: confirm your language level and you can extend your residence permit for 5 years at once. For many, this became an extra push to finally begin or continue studying.

📚 New learning formats

2025 became a year of experimentation:

• hybrid lessons,
• visual vocabulary cards,
• Telegram practice groups,
• mini-drills,
• short daily exercises.

Learning became easier, faster… and more fun ✨.

If this year was a year of first steps, then 2026 will be the year of confident speech.

1. Launch of the B2 course

For those who want to speak not just “correctly,” but naturally. More conversation practice, real-life situations, native speakers, and subtleties you won’t find in textbooks.

2. A new track: Chinese language

Yes, we heard you. Yes, it’s happening. And yes — it will be interesting, beautiful, challenging, and incredibly promising.

3. Our own online platform

In 2026 we are launching a personal learning dashboard with progress tracking: levels, tasks, statistics, achievements. You will see your progress as clearly as you hear new words in class.

4. Video lessons with native speakers

To get used to not only correct pronunciation, but also the natural speed of real Estonian speech. The goal is understanding that comes naturally — without internal panic.

5. New partnerships

Universities, employers, educational projects. Learning will be more closely connected to career opportunities — and that is truly motivating.

6. Even more success stories

We’re sure: in 2026, there will be even more students who proudly say: “I did it. I passed. I spoke.” ❤️
