The Basic Computer Skills course is designed for people who want to confidently use a computer and learn how to work with essential programs and digital services.
Teaching since 2025
Our school has been providing computer literacy training since 2025. During this time, dozens of participants have completed the course, many of whom successfully apply the acquired skills in their work and daily life. The program is continuously improved to meet modern digital requirements and incorporate feedback from participants.
Focus on Practical Learning
We place strong emphasis on hands-on practice. Participants do not just listen to the instructor’s explanations — they complete real tasks directly on the computer. This approach helps develop practical skills faster and builds confidence in using modern technologies.
Training Program
Basic MS Office Course: MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Outlook, MS Teams and/or Zoom

The course aims to provide participants with basic knowledge and practical skills in using MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Outlook, MS Teams and/or Zoom for educational, professional, and everyday use.
The objectives of the training are to:
develop participants’ basic skills in working with text documents, spreadsheets, presentations, and email;
teach participants to use core MS Office tools in typical practical situations;
develop skills for participating in online meetings and remote collaboration via MS Teams and/or Zoom;
ensure confident basic use of office programs in a work environment.
Participants are expected to:
have basic computer knowledge;
be able to use a keyboard, mouse, and basic operating system functions;
have a basic understanding of working with files, folders, and the internet.
Upon completing the course, participants will be able to:
create, save, open, and edit documents in MS Word;
format text, paragraphs, lists, and tables in MS Word;
enter and edit data in MS Excel;
use simple formulas, sorting, filtering, and basic table formatting in MS Excel;
create simple presentations in MS PowerPoint;
design slides considering logic, readability, and content structure;
send, receive, sort emails, and work with the calendar in MS Outlook;
join online meetings, use chat, microphone, camera, and screen sharing in MS Teams and/or Zoom;
apply acquired skills in typical work and everyday tasks.
Module 1. Introduction to the Learning Environment and Digital Work – 4 hours
applying skills from MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Outlook, and MS Teams/Zoom
summarizing and reviewing acquired skills

Participants’ mastery is evaluated based on:

Training is conducted in facilities meeting the client’s requirements, including:
classrooms accessible by public transport
individual workstation and computer for each participant
modern computers with Windows 11 or newer
installed Microsoft Office 2021 or newer
valid software licenses
Estonian interface for the operating system
accessibility for participants with limited mobility, if necessary
Note: LibreOffice is not used in this training.
Participants receive:
course materials and exercise files
practical tasks and final assignment materials aligned with the program
Training is conducted by VIKOOL.EE instructors meeting procurement qualification requirements. The provider ensures a sufficient number of qualified instructors as per the procurement specifications. Each instructor has documented experience conducting group training in MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and MS Outlook during the procurement period. Detailed information about instructors, experience, and credentials is provided separately in the tender documentation.
Participants are considered to have completed the course upon participation in classes and successful completion of practical exercises and the final assignment. Upon completion, participants receive a certificate issued in accordance with current educational documentation requirements and client specifications.

We begin practicing from the very first minutes of the class. Instead of complicated terminology, you will receive clear explanations delivered at a comfortable pace. Step by step, you will solve real-life tasks that you encounter in everyday situations.
Working with Programs
During the course you will gain practical experience using MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, and learn how to communicate and collaborate through online platforms such as MS Teams and Zoom.
Maximum Practice
The course is structured so that knowledge is immediately reinforced through practice. Each session includes clear explanations from the instructor as well as independent hands-on exercises on the computer.
